One other school joining this project is located in Russia, in Ulyanovsk. Ulyanovsk (Russian: Улья́новск) is the administrative centre of Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russia, located on the Volga River, 893 kilometers east from Moscow.
The teacher in charge of coordinating this project, Galina, introduces her school for us:
ULYANOVSK SCHOOL Nº 76
Our
school is a state secondary school. In Russia schools usually have no special
names. They have only a serial number. So we have number 76. Children aged
between 7 to 17 study in the school. So they study at school for 11 years. They
have different subjects in their timetable: Russian, Russian Literature, of
course, History, Biology, Geography, Chemistry (in the 8-11th
forms), Art, Music, English, Physical Education, Information Technology and
others.
School life
is merry and interesting. Last year my students made a short video about our
school. They explained about it in Russian and in English. Hopefully you’ll
appreciate it!
Thank you very much, Galina and all the Russian students for this nice introduction to your school. And thank you for joining our project!
