As cousas que importan (2015), which would translate as The Things that Matter, is a children's book, the first published by Borja Ramón and María Olmo, who prefer the nom de plume El primo Ramón. They are very creative people who also do portraits, illustrations and other things you can check on their blog.
The book is an ode to all those "small" things in life that we tend to overlook but which are really the ones that matter most.
This is my favorite part of the book, about journals and their ability to contain the Universe in their blank pages |
I totally agree with the philosophy of the book, as sure do all of you, but how important it is to teach our children about it - the importance of those elusive moments of emotion that we experience every day. I think As cousas que importan drives that point home.
