Dominique Amendola is a French-born painter currently living and working in Northern California. She grinds her own oils into tubes and makes her own Maroger mediums, which allows colors to give her canvases a sense of charm and vibrancy.
In her own statement as an artist, she says that she is focusing on paying more attention to the subtle emotions
behind the paint. I think she certainly has managed to capture the concentration and thinking process we go through when writing a letter.
